بِسْمِ اللّٰهِ الرَّحْمٰنِ الرَّحِيْمِ

وَ اِنۡ تَعۡجَبۡ فَعَجَبٌ قَوۡلُہُمۡ ءَ اِذَا کُنَّا تُرٰبًا ءَ اِنَّا لَفِیۡ خَلۡقٍ جَدِیۡدٍ ۬ؕ اُولٰٓئِکَ الَّذِیۡنَ کَفَرُوۡا بِرَبِّہِمۡ ۚ وَ اُولٰٓئِکَ الۡاَغۡلٰلُ فِیۡۤ اَعۡنَاقِہِمۡ ۚ وَ اُولٰٓئِکَ اَصۡحٰبُ النَّارِ ۚ ہُمۡ فِیۡہَا خٰلِدُوۡنَ ﴿۵﴾

اب اگر تمہیں تعجّب کرنا ہے تو تعجّب کے قابل لوگوں کا یہ قول ہے کہ”جب ہم مر کر مٹی ہو جائیں گے تو کیا ہم نئے سِروں سے پیدا کیے جائیں گے؟“ یہ وہ لوگ ہیں جنہوں نے اپنے ربّ سے کُفر کیا ہے۔¹² یہ وہ لوگ ہیں جن کی گردنوں میں طوق پڑے ہوئے ہیں۔¹³ یہ جہنّمی ہیں اورجہنّم میں ہمیشہ رہیں گے

Now if you must wonder at something, then what deserves real wonder is the saying of these people: “When we have died and turned to dust, shall we then be created anew?” These are the people who have rejected their Lord (12). These are the people around whose necks are shackles (13). These are the inmates of Hell, and in Hell they shall abide forever.

سُوْرَةُ الرَّعْد حاشیہ نمبر :12

یعنی ان کا آخرت سے انکار دراصل خدا سے اور اس کی قدرت اور حکمت سے انکار ہے۔ یہ صرف اتنا ہی نہیں کہتے کہ ہمارا مٹی میں مل جانے کے بعد دوبارہ پیدا ہونا غیر ممکن ہے ، بلکہ ان کے اسی قول میں یہ خیال بھی پوشیدہ ہے کہ معاذاللہ وہ خدا عاجز دور ماندہ اور نادان و بے خرد ہے جس نے ان کو پیدا کیا ہے۔

سُوْرَةُ الرَّعْد حاشیہ نمبر :13

گردن میں طوق پڑا ہونا قیدی ہونے کی علامت ہے۔ ان لوگوں کی گردنوں میں طوق پڑے ہونے کا مطلب یہ ہے کہ یہ لوگ اپنی جہالت کے ، اپنی ہٹ دھرمی کے ، اپنی خواہشات ِ نفس کے ، اور اپنے آباو اجداد کی اندھی تقلید کے اسیر بنے ہوئے ہیں ۔ یہ آزادانہ غور و فکر نہیں کر سکتے۔ اِنہیں اِن کے تعصبات نے ایسا جکڑ رکھا ہے کہ یہ آخرت کو نہیں مان سکتے اگرچہ اس کا ماننا سراسر معقول ہے ، اور انکا رِ آخرت پر جمے ہوئے ہیں اگرچہ وہ سراسر نا معقول ہے۔

Footnote 12:

That is, their denial of the Hereafter is, in reality, a denial of God Himself, and of His power and wisdom. They are not merely saying that it is impossible for them to be created again after turning into dust; hidden within this very statement is also the notion — God forbid — that the God who created them is helpless, worn out, ignorant, and lacking in wisdom.

Footnote 13:

Having a shackle around the neck is a sign of being a captive. The meaning of these people having shackles around their necks is that they have become prisoners of their own ignorance, their obstinacy, their base desires, and their blind following of their forefathers. They are unable to think freely. Their prejudices have gripped them so tightly that they cannot accept the Hereafter, even though believing in it is entirely reasonable, and they remain fixed in denying it, even though that denial is entirely unreasonable.
